BENHS Meeting joint with members of the Alton Natural History Society – Evening & Night Moth-trapping Meeting.
Joint meeting with members of the British Entomological and Natural History Society (BENHS), Alton Natural History Society (ANHS) and the Deadwater Valley Trust (DVT), the site managers.
Still an MOD owned site but now leased to the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company (a branch of Taylor Wimpey, developers) from whom kind permission for this meeting to take place has been obtained.
Parking on the wide grass verge inside the kerb on the east side of Hogmoor Road, Bordon, at SU786346 by the footpath entrance into the Inclosure opposite or just south of the entrance to St Andrew’s Road between 7.30pm and 8.00pm. Alternative parking maybe possible at the main Inclosure (SANG) public car park on the hard standings accessed at SU786352 further north along Hogmoor Road as signposted. Those parking here may have to leave by 1am but will get help to transport their equipment to the trapping area in the south of the site and return.
