British Myriapod and Isopod Group (BMIG) – Annual field meeting

BMIG’s annual field meeting will be in South-west Scotland, based at The Bruce Hotel, Newton Stewart DG8 6JL. The usual mix of fieldwork in the daytime and evenings with informal talks, workshops, chat and a brief AGM. Anyone interested in attending, if only dropping in for a day in the field or for an evening, would be welcome. Madrid, Spain: Ciempozuelos, Tres Cantos.

I am very interested in being able to hold a field meeting on behalf of the BENHS in two quite distinct areas of Madrid province: Ciempozuelos (600m) in the sub-desertic Tagus valley SW of the Spanish capital, whilst Tres Cantos (720m) is NW of the city on alluvial soils amongst schlerophyllous holm oak Woodland Quercus ilex ballota  in the foothills of the Sierra de Guadarrama.
