Borough Fen Duck Decoy, near Peterborough, modern CAMBRIDGESHIRE, but vice-county NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. Leader: Paul Waring. Please contact the leader at least a week in advance to register and for meet-up details. This privately-owned site is a small remnant of the once extensive Borough Fen. The decoy has been in operation for many centuries. It is one of very few now operating. Habitats include lake margins, reedbeds, carr and mature woodland. TF 11600 03167 just inside the site entrance on the road from Marholm, just past Willowbrook Farm Shop and the two cottages on the opposite site of the road. The main aim of this meeting is to operate light-traps from dusk to dawn to sample the nocturnal moths.
