Lunch break

13.00 - 16.00: Pemberley Books will be in attendance with a good selection of books on Coleoptera (in the Loddon Room).

Throughout the afternoon there will be tables for the display of exhibits in the Loddon Room, with the opportunity for informal discussions there and in the BENHS rooms nearby.

The BENHS Pelham-Clinton Building will be open for consulting the library and referring to the collections (which include the Joy Collection of British Coleoptera).

Identification advice for problem specimens will be at hand, particularly for Chrysomelidae (Peter Hodge) and Carabidae (Mark Telfer).

If you have not been before, this event is intended for anybody with an interest in British beetles, whether beginner or advanced. It is an ideal opportunity to meet others with similar interests and to hear about what is happening in the world of Coleoptera. If you have a beetle exhibit, whether of specimens, photographs, apparatus or publications, then please bring this along for display in the afternoon.

This year for the first time we are very pleased to welcome Pemberley Books, the leading entomological bookseller, with the opportunity to purchase publications on Coleoptera, from Britain and abroad, throughout the afternoon.

In order to get an idea of the likely numbers attending, it will help if you can send an E-mail in advance to: ian mcleans email address
