BENHS INDOOR MEETINGS 2007-2008
Following the feedback from members via the questionnaire last year,
Council has decided to make some changes to the Indoor Meetings
Programme. Fewer members than formerly can attend evening meetings on a
week day in London, while the popularity of weekend events has
increased. Hence, the Programme has been changed and it is hoped that
the new arrangements will meet the needs of the membership and
encourage more entomologists to join our Society. The Annual
Exhibition remains at Imperial College, while Workshops
and Open Days will continue at Dinton
Pastures, Reading as weekend events.
Council hopes that these new arrangements will prove popular with
members and will be supported by new and long-standing members alike.
These meetings are an excellent way to meet other entomologists and to
hear about what is happening in the world of natural history. Members
are encouraged to bring exhibits and to report any entomological news
or interesting observations at the start of each meeting. The following
list also includes the major annual
events for those groups affiliated to BENHS.
New members are always very welcome at indoor meetings of the
Society, so if you have not come along before, why not attend some of
the events on this year's calendar?
