BRITISH ENTOMOLOGICAL & NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY
REGIONAL MEETING AT CLIFTON PARK MUSEUM
ROTHERHAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SORBY NHS
AND THE YORKSHIRE NATURALISTS’ UNION
ENTOMOLOGY IN YORKSHIRE: PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE

This one-day meeting will take a look at the rich historical legacy and fine traditions of entomology in Yorkshire in the year before the 150th anniversary of the Yorkshire Naturalists’ Union. Some of the current entomological activities within the county will be described and the afternoon will conclude with a discussion on the current needs of entomologists and to identify future opportunities for increasing interest in insects and for better sharing of insect data using the Internet and other electronic media.

The meeting will be held in Clifton Park Museum, Clifton Lane, Rotherham (see number 31 on the map below). The railway and bus stations are 10-15 minutes walk away and there is nearby car parking in Clifton Park (at 30p/hour; the day rate is higher, so it is suggested that you put in enough until lunchtime and then top-up).
