Woodbury Common, Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve, EAST DEVON
July 29 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This is located south of Colaton Raleigh Common, largely to the east of the B3280 and to the north of the minor road from Four Firs to Yettington.with Uplands Plantation forming the eastern boundary (exact meeting details, nearer the time).
Leader: Gareth King sterrhinae@gmail.com
This will be an afternoon/dusk session (4.00pm start) with a focus on the Lepidoptera more especially Pleurota biscotella (Clerck) (Oecophoridae) (it might be a bit late in the season), Scythrididae (scythe-winged moths) (12 British species) and the Sterrhinae (Geometridae) (Waves).
Members are welcome to set up light traps, although the next day being a Tuesday I’m not sure how this would work out. Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust has already been approached.
